Banbury people give record amounts to annual poppy appeal
Banbury's branch of the Royal British Legion have broken previous records for raising money during the annual Poppy Appeal.
This year, they've raised over 31 thousand pounds - and hope it will be enough for them to win the organisation's County Goadby Cup for the third consecutive year. The cup is given for the highest total raised in the county.
The Poppy Appeal finishes at the end of September - so there's still time if you want to donate to the cause.
