A man remains in the Horton General with serious injuries after being found at the bottom of a stairwell in Banbury.

The 25 year old was found around 11 o'clock on Monday night at the Ruscote Arcade in Logelandes Way.

Thames Valley Police are continuing their investigation into how the incident occurred. They spent most of Tuesday at the scene. The victim had earlier been in one of the flats above the arcade.

A 24-year-old man has since arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

The police are also carrying out high visibility patrols in the area.
